So yesterday I'm sitting in a noisy server room at Redbus in London Docklands. I have Tam in Glasgow and Alan in Dumfries at hand to help diagnose our server troubles. Problem is my phone has decided that it wants to go into the red zone - battery-wise - far sooner than I'd expected.
Thankfully, 'wall' came to the rescue. In short, type:
wall<enter>
your message<enter>
<ctrl-D>
...and your message is broadcast to everyone else logged on to the server. Not the best communication tool I've ever used but it certainly worked well within our limitations allowing 3 heads to work on the problem instead of just my little one.
