Champions League Draw

The Champions League draw is but a few hours away. Celtic are in pot 3 as usual (wonder what it would take to get our coeff high enough to move us into pot 2) and facing up to the possiblity of clashes with Real Madrid, Arsenal, AC Milan, to name a few. Looking at the options I think the easiest possible group we could get is:

Porto - though champions, they've been weakened with the loss of Deco, Carvahlo, Ferreira (more?)
Lyon - we've faced them before so are at least a known quantity
CSKA Moscow - ranked 31st out of 32 in the qualifiers and wouldn't it be nice to show Rangers how to beat them :)

As for the worst, take your pick out of a number of permutations. Out of pot 1 I think I'd rather avoid Barcelona the most - can you being at Celtic Park watching Larsson and not jumping up and down when he scored?? There are 6 out of 8 teams in pot 2 from either the Premiership or Italy so there's a good chance of meeting a tough opponent from those leagues.

Sadly (said whilst holding back a huge grin) Rangers aren't in the draw after their pitiful performance last night. Good news for Celtic though is that it's apparently made us £2m more in tv money.

Well the one team I didn't want and we got it. Oh well! Barcelona along with Milan and Shaktar Donesk should provide some great games to look forward to.
